RM Books shortlisted for The Bookseller’s Industry Awards in the E-book Retailer of the Year category

The shortlists for this year’s Bookseller’s Industry Awards have been revealed, with 127 shortlisted candidates in 20 categories.

Nigel Roby, The Bookseller publisher and CEO, praised the “extraordinarily high” quality of the 2014 entries. He said: “Our judges had some extremely tough decisions to get down to this number of shortlistees. All those who sent entries in show that the book trade is bursting with innovation, passion and entrepreneurial spirit.”

RM Books free ebook solution designed specifically for schools has been shortlisted within the E-book Retailer of the Year category.

RM Books has been created in a way that removes the barriers to schools joining the ebook revolution, allowing them to rent or purchase ebooks from a wide range of leading UK publishers. It works for the whole school, not just the library.

The flexibility and ease of use that RM Books provides means that teachers can actually rent or purchase books and make them available to students ‘during’ a lesson. It is motivating students to read more books and for longer. In fact, a recent study at a leading UK school, Shireland Collegiate Academy, found that 100% of the teachers who used RM Books said it had improved their lessons.
